Citizen Attesa Satellite Wave GPS "Shades of Red" CC4077-71Z

Released in February 2026 to coincide with the total lunar eclipse visible across Japan on 3 March 2026, the CC4077-71Z is a limited-edition ATTESA piece restricted to just 1,800 examples worldwide. The design brief was to capture the ethereal beauty of the blood moon — the deep crimson hue produced when the sun, Earth and moon align during totality — and translate it into dial and case architecture. The result is one of the most visually striking ATTESA releases in recent memory. A wine-red dial achieves its depth and brilliance by layering a red-tinted moon motif over a mother-of-pearl base, while the inner face of the sapphire bezel ring carries dual-layer vapour deposition with silver city names set against a dark red ground. The entire dial is encircled by a deep red sapphire glass ring bezel that gives the watch an unmistakable presence on the wrist.

Powering the CC4077-71Z is Citizen's flagship Cal.F950 movement — the pinnacle of Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS technology. It receives time signals directly from GPS satellites orbiting 20,000 kilometres above Earth, correcting to atomic accuracy anywhere on the globe. On a full charge, the power reserve extends to five years in power save mode, and without a satellite reception it holds accuracy to within ±5 seconds per month. The full-titanium Super Titanium case and bracelet, finished with Citizen's Duratect DLC coating, achieve Vickers hardness of 1,000–1,400 — more than five times harder than stainless steel — while remaining 40% lighter. Dual spherical sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating crowns the 44.6mm case, which is rated to 100 metres water resistance.
